Electricity has a great contribution to Human

Electricity is everywhere- in houses, buildings, and streets. It has made our life easier. Electricity came about a hundred years ago but it has drastically transformed and extended our energy use. Largely, electricity defines modern technological civilization. The achievements of scientists throughout the history have contributed enormously to man’s progress towards civilization. An excellent paradigm is the invention of the world’s first dynamo that generates electricity by Michael Faraday. Another important invention was Thomas Edison’s light bulb, which gave light to the planet. Currently, equipments and gadgets which is used in our daily existence like computers, televisions, ovens, refrigerators, radios etc. seems to be very important to us. All those equipments and gadgets run on electricity and we cannot deny the benefits they have brought to us. In addition, electricity has improved the lives of all the people around the world and has given them a life of comfort. Indeed, electricity is a modern necessity of life.

Electricity’s one of the earliest applications was on communications. Cooke and Wheatstone emphasized the great contribution of electricity in the field of worldwide communication. The electrical telegraph, which was demonstrated commercially in 1837 by Cooke and Wheatstone, served as the central means in communication. For instance, communications across the globe had been incredibly fast ever since the erection of the first intercontinental, transatlantic telegraph systems in the 1860s. Another great stride has been made by the International Network or the popular INTERNET. It can be utilized through computer systems that run on electricity. Finally, optical fiber and satellite communication technology have taken a share of the market for communication systems, but electricity remains a crucial component of the process. Truly, electricity had played a significant role in establishing a brawny, worldwide communication.

Electricity plays a vital function in industry’s progress. Surprisingly enough, electricity seriously affects industries and many industrial processes. In fact, it was stated in Encyclopedia Americana the value of electricity in many industrial processes. Various examples of industrial processes are electro-plating of metals, electric arc welding of metals and the use of electrostatic precipitators to remove furnace exhaust. All these examples rely on the consumption of electricity. Another impact done by electricity is the advanced level of industrialization of the world, which is stated in encyclopedia Britannica-macropedia. It also added that the utilization of electricity of numerous industries has expanded gradually in the 20th century. This simply means that the majority of electricity’s consumption is on industries and is anticipated to continuously double roughly every 10 years. For these reasons, we can now say that electricity has a great help in industries and industrial processes.
